You connect to local networks without relying on the roaming operator from your home country.
The eSIM card from eSIModo gives you the ability to connect to the internet on your phone in Canada via a local mobile network and take advantage of the maximum speeds available in that area (up to 5G), eliminating the need to activate a roaming option with your home country operator.
Your phone and phone number remain available, only the internet "flows" through this eSIM.
The eSIM card is delivered electronically in the form of a QR code accompanied by the corresponding installation instructions on iPhone or Android.
Does an eSIM replace the current mobile plan?
No. You are not tied to any subscription. eSIM is designed to be used as a supplement to the main phone plan. When you are visiting another country, to avoid paying roaming charges, you use eSIM for mobile data and 4G/5G internet.
Will I receive a local phone number along with the eSIM?
No. After activating an eSIM, you can continue to use your phone number to send and receive calls and SMS messages. The new eSIM plan is used only for data, helping you save on costly roaming charges.
Can I use eSIM and regular SIM simultaneously on the same phone?
Of course, that's what's interesting about an eSIM. You keep your phone number active (you can call and be called). Only the internet runs through the eSIM purchased from us.
Can I buy an eSIM before the trip and activate it later?
Of course, we even recommend it! The validity period of the data package starts at the moment of the first connection to the network via your eSIM, in the country/region for which you purchased the package. Remember that the maximum period in which you must start using the purchased data package is 6 months from purchase.
Are there additional charges for an eSIM?
No, eSIM plans are prepaid, and the displayed prices include all taxes. Our eSIM data plans are meant to replace your home operator's roaming plan. You will not be charged extra as long as the eSIM is installed and configured correctly, and roaming on the classic SIM is deactivated.
If something doesn't work, can I make a return?
Of course, if for various reasons you fail to install the eSIM or the travel plans have changed, we can refund all your money. Access the return policy to see exactly all the situations in which you can receive your money back.
Does the validity start from the moment the eSIM is installed in the phone?
No, the validity starts running when you arrive in the destination country and select the eSIM as active from the phone settings (practically, at the first network connection).
How can I find out if I have an eSIM compatible phone?
Dial the short number *#06#. If a section titled EID / EID 1 appears on the screen, it means that your phone is compatible with eSIM technology
